EPIC: Regional Food System Collaboration

EPIC brings together farmers, ranchers, gardeners and local-food leaders across Plumas, Sierra, Lassen and Modoc counties to strengthen regional food systems.

Eastside Producers Informational Collaborative

EPIC is a multi-county initiative led by Lost Sierra Food Project in partnership with producers, nonprofits and food-system advocates across four rural counties in Northeastern California: Plumas, Sierra, Lassen and Modoc.

The collaboration explores shared challenges and opportunities for growing food in mountainous, fire-affected communities and supports stronger local food networks, sustainable agriculture and long-term resilience.

Dawn Institute's role

Dawn Institute's public materials describe its role in community outreach and data collection in Plumas County, contributing to a USDA-funded regional food-system effort.
