Our Story
Dawn Institute is an educational nonprofit in Indian Falls, California, dedicated to sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship and community resilience.
Its farm-based learning programs serve students, educators and community members across the Lost Sierra region through field trips, workshops and curriculum support designed to build ecological literacy and food-system awareness.
Established in 1945
As the organization rebuilds from the Dixie Fire, its focus remains on inclusive, land-based education for all ages.
